Library

Experiences in the Library (kind of)

I was unfortunately unable to visit the library in person because I had been sick, but I did visit my roommates library and borrow a book. I borrowed "Everything I Know About Love" by Dolly Alderton. Although I wasn't able to go to the library, I really enjoyed seeing some of my roommates collection and looking through it. It gave me a better insight into her interests and thoughts. The book I borrowed had highlighted sections, which was interesting to see. I could figure out what sentences had a meaning to the past reader, my roommate.

My experiences with the library have changed as I've gotten older. When I was younger, I used to go to the library all the time in school or after with my friends. As I've grown up I stopped checking out books and instead have just ordered them online. It was exciting to go and randomly select from a collection of books, I will be going to the library to browse as soon as I can. I have never checked out a book from Bird, but more use it as a place to study or spend time with friends. I don't go that often, so when I do it's often when I am stressed about work I need to catch up on or studying for exams. I have never taken the time to relax in the library, and choose a book I am interested in. I believe slowing down, taking time, and letting yourself enjoy the library for its original purpose can make all aspects of it better, easier, and more interesting.

Update: I visited the library and browsed the aisles as well as the sixth floor, which was really interesting and cool. I brought my roommates with me and we had a great time using the library in a different way than our norm.
